Grace Leisure Events – one the best wedding planners in Durham NC, who loves both classic and offbeat events
Grace Leisure Events is a superstar event and wedding planning company in Durham. Owner Grace Beason has extensive experience with planning private home weddings in NC, as well as working in the top wedding venues in Raleigh, Cary and Chapel Hill. So she is well versed in the detailed coordination involved with luxury weddings for Southern brides. But, Grace is equally passionate about working with off-beat couples planning more eclectic weddings throughout the Triangle. And she is also dedicated to representing under-served communities, particularly the LGBTQ community weddings in Durham and beyond.
While they specialize in full-service event planning in NC, Grace Leisure Events is available for various levels of planning, day of coordination, and hourly consulting. Their services include, but are not limited to, the research, negotiation, coordination, design, planning, and finalization of the following aspects associated with your event.
Grace Leisure Events History
After studying art and starting her career at Christie’s auction house in London, Grace Beason moved to NYC and worked at The Knot. She ended up working with Marcy Blum, who is still to this day one of the leading wedding planners in the country. After moving to North Carolina in 2004 (for love) and working with a lead caterer, she started her own planning company, Grace Leisure Events, in 2005. Over the past decade-plus, Grace has planned events all across North Carolina as well as in Tennessee. From 2010-2014 Grace coordinated the celebrated Farm To Fork Picnic and she has also served as the planner of Durham and Chapel Hill Magazines’ Taste the Event, food and wine festival.
Southern Bride and Groom magazine has known Grace Beason for over a decade, and know her to be a true professional and the most warm and kind person. There is good reason that everyone in our local wedding community adores this woman and thinks of her as one of the all-time-greats!
“In my opinion, a successful event is one that is genuinely reflective of the person or occasion for which it has been planned,” say Grace. “My job is to help you create an event that reflects you, that you can enjoy, and that you will then remember fondly long after its fleeting existence is over.”
