Waterfront Wedding by A Southern Soiree Planner Raleigh

Grant Davidson’s dream of becoming a fishing captain when he grew up did not come true. Instead, he got something better – in meeting and marrying Dalton Brower, his soulmate by the sea. Grant and Dalton both grew up vacationing at their family homes in Holden Beach, NC. Their love of the waterfront brought them to one beautiful day in May, when they shared their vows in the charming inner-coastal town of Oriental.

Dalton and Grant hosted their wedding ceremony and reception at two different family homes only a few doors down from one another. The two homes hold sentimental childhood memories for the bride and groom – as well as beautiful waterfront views. Dalton wanted her wedding theme to be “elegant and timeless, yet relaxed.” Gina Johnston, their planner from A Southern Soiree, knew just what to do. Ivory, champagne, green, gray and blue comprised a perfect coastal color palette. Splashes of seafoam surface throughout the wedding reception decor in details such as accent pillows and table numbers. Guests found their seats by reading the painted names on ivory and gold seashells. As night fell on the waterside reception, twinkle lights filled the clear topped tent with a magical glow. Dalton and Grant’s love story is as beautiful and natural as the ocean tide.
